Should I change the name of this blog to Brotrerodelsolpark?

You guys the other day/past couple of months I was feeling a need to be ‘more authentic’, so I decided to leave my laptop and the Brolores Triangle and venture out into new territory kind of like the pibroneers used to do when they felt ‘constrained by society’ and needed to break new ground. I walked down 24th St. and remembered that some blogger said that Potrero Del Sol Skatepark is the most authentic park. It is also approximately 2 to 3 degrees warmer on average [via SF micbroclimates]. Decided to check it out [via new experiences/trying not 2 freeze on Brolores].

Could tell things were getting more authentic as I got closer to the park because alonebros were skateboarding past me [via being alone = authentic].

Got to Brotrero Del Sol Skatepark and saw this grizzlybro [via long blond hair and a grungy plaid shirt] telling this lil grombro how he’d been ‘skating for 25 years’. Seemed authentic. So I sat down to watch the skateboarding. Got kind of ‘lost’ in the broetry of bros arcing around the pool, all ‘alone’ but at the same time ‘together’. Felt like a metaphor for our human bro-ndition of how we are all ‘on our own trip’ trying to ‘achieve something meaningful for ourselves’ but also ‘part of a society of bros making patterns/memes in the pool/internet’.

Was about to ‘take a picture for this blog’, but then an altercation happened between Grizzlybro and this bourgeois-looking bro who was creeping up behind the pool. Bourgebro had a really expensive camera [via huge lens] and was taking pics and Grizzlybro was like ‘NO WAY BRO. NO OFFENSE BRO BUT YOU CANT TAKE PICTURES HERE BRO. PEOPLE ARE JUST TRYING TO SKATE, BRO. NOT TRYING TO START SOMETHING WITH U BRO BUT I REALLY DON’T WANT TO SEE THAT BRO. JUST PUT THE CAMERA AWAY BRO.’ Probably said ‘bro’ like twenty times in three minutes. Bourgebro slunk away to a hill and tried to crouch behind it and still take pics but Grizzlybro was like “no way bro I really don’t like that, bro. get out of here bro”.

Felt awed. Felt like I was witnessing ‘total bromination’ by this American Her-bro just trying to preserve the pre-bloggable authenticity of the park. Put my iphone away and just watched people skate the pool like it was 1982. Felt a little ‘naked’ because I wasn’t using any technology, but also felt like I was having the ‘truly authentic experience’ that I’ve been searching for throughout 2k9.

Not sure. Should I change the name of this blog to Brotrerodelsolpark.com? And then erase all content and ‘not post’ as a statement on ‘true authenticity’ in a digital world? Should we all quit the internet and throw away our cameras/iphones and become authentic skateboarders who ‘are better than all the other bros’ but are ‘2 authentic to capitalize on it’? [via Jay Adams the original Dogtown & Zbro]

Feel conflicted about the internet right now. Also feel like ‘feeling conflicted about the internet’ is a popular meme. Feel like ‘we can’t escape’.

What are yall doing to ‘escape your sense of internal/internet-derived conflict’? Feel like we need to ‘help each other through this’ [via gchat]. Will try to be there 4 u always

Your bro,
