Chill Friary Alert walked by the San Damiano Friary at 19th & Brolores last night. saw some bros in friar costumes and noticed that their house was decorated with candles and spiderwebs. couldn’t tell if it was a ‘real friary’ or a ‘bro house decorated like a Haunted Friary’ [via high concept Hallbroween ideas]. so I talked to a friarbro in a robe and he told me that it was a real friary and they just felt like decorating for Halloween. then another friarbro came up who was actually dressed like the Grim Reaper. but he was also a real friarbro and lives at the friary. basically the point of this story is that this is the chillest and most authentic friary/bro pad [via Brothers of the Society of St. Francis] in the world, where they both ‘chill with bro-ed out holidays’ and also do good deeds like serving the homeless every night and blessing animals in the park. think that friarbros might be the most authentic bros in the world photo via daemonsquire [Halloween friary pix taken in the dark were too authy to come out on my Iphone]

apparently a few area bros are ‘mad’ that brolores park is a bromage to hipsterrunoff. confused. not really sure what they are ‘on about’ [via Braustralia]. feel like Crls/the rest of the internet isn’t really ‘invested’ in ‘originality’. feel like we live in a ‘postmodern world’ [via English 101]. feel like ‘only the wrong kind of bros’ [via stuffwhitebroslike.com] care about preserving the absolute purity/identity of the ‘original’. wonder if the bros who are ‘mad about bromages’ are also mad when bros have an extra lappy/server in their bro pad dedicated to ‘downloading content from the internet’. wonder if they miss how when you used to watch a VHS tape a scary FBI warning would come on before the movie started and say that you ‘might go to jail’.

do you think bros are going to report me to the F.Bro.I. for ‘copying crls’? do you think if I send them a copy of a Jean Bro-drillard essay it might help them ‘conceptualize’ what is happening on the internet?
